WTLW Becomes One of First U.S. Stations to Go Only Digital

WTLW TV closed the door on the analog era when it permanently shut down its transmitter on Monday, December 1st at 8:37 am.  Seven hours later at 3:39 pm, a new digital era was ushered in by powering up the new digital Channel 44. By moving to the top mounted antenna at 207 meters, TV-44's signal should be much better received by viewers outside a 20 mile radius of our tower.  Viewers must now rescan their digital televisions and converter boxes to receive Channel 44.  Thanks to Chief Engineer Jeff Klingler and Engineer Ken Vedder for making a smooth transition.  And special thanks to former Chief Engineer Rick Corcoran who travelled from Muncie, Indiana to pull the switch on the analog transmitter (see photo).  We appreciate your feedback on the signal strength of our new digital signal. Email us at contact@wtlw.com. Please call us at 339-4444 if we can assist you in the transition.

TV-44 Launches New Channel

WTLW launched a second channel called The Word Channel on September 1st. The format consists of preaching and teaching during daytime hours with The Worship Network airing overnight. The Word Channel will presents an opportunity for local churches with 10 am to 11 am and 7 pm to 8 pm being set aside for local church services. To receive the channel, you must receive WTLW’s signal via antenna. It will appear on your menu as 44.2.   There will be limited commercial interuption. The Word Channel is another great reason to receive FREE over the over-the-air broadcast television! This is an exciting expansion of WTLW’s outreach, and we covet your prayers and financial support as we work to launch The Word Channel on September 1st.
