Lima Noon Optimist Club Distributes Containers For Annual “Toys for Tots” Campaign
Wednesday, November 6, 2019 the Lima Noon Optimist Club in cooperation with The Salvation Army and US Marine Corps Reserve will officially kick-off the Annual Toys for Tots campaign during their noon luncheon meeting at the BPO Elks Lodge.
For many years now, the Lima Noon Optimist Club has worked in cooperation with The Salvation Army and the US Marine Corps Reserve to provide Christmas toys for less fortunate children in the Lima and Allen County area. The Salvation Army distributes collection boxes to various area businesses, schools and organizations throughout Allen County who participate in the program. Citizens then deposit their new toys into the collection boxes. The programs success comes from the cooperation of more than 180 locations and the generosity of our community.
Collection boxes can be found in all government buildings, local fire and police departments, local schools, Chief Markets, car dealers and businesses throughout the area.
The Optimist Club asks patrons to purchase a new unwrapped toy and place it in one of the collection boxes. An Optimist member monitors the collection boxes and takes the collected toys to The Salvation Army for distribution at Christmas.
THE TOYS FOR TOTS CAMPAIGN ENDS DECEMBER 14th

November 6 (Wednesday) 1:00 am - December 14 (Saturday) 1:00 am
