Amidst the beauty of snow glistening on trees, winter months can bring about low moods, decreased energy, negative thinking, and changes in eating and sleeping patterns. The quality of sleep is often directly linked to managing anxiety and depression which can be elevated during the winter season.

Part 1 (1.5 hours) Managing SAD: Best practices, psychoeducation and practical tools for helping individuals suffering with Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Objective 1: Understand diagnostic criteria, symptoms, and evidence-based treatment plan options.
Objective 2: Understand both behavioral and neurological causes of SAD.
Objective 3: Receive practical tools and assessments to engage individuals in the therapeutic process for managing SAD symptoms in ways that promote overall health and well-being.
Part 2 (1.5 hours) Inside the Sleeping Mind: Best practices, psychoeducation and practical tools to understand healthy and unhealthy sleep patterns and how sleep relates to our overall mental health.
Objective 1: Understand healthy and unhealthy sleep patterns and how sleep relates to our mental health.
Objective 2: Recognize common sleep disorders, their causes, and when they occur in the sleep cycle.
Objective 3: Receive practical tools and assessments to promote healthy sleep for children, teens and adults.
