As many of you know, I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA which is more a Steelers town, then anything else. Penn St. and Pitt(sburgh) divide the college football interest, and since my Dad graduated from the University of North Carolina, I didn't care enough about college FB to pick a side.
After a stop in Alaska (where there are exactly 0 College football teams), I came to Ohio, where at every turn, I have the chance of hearing the chant, OH-IO. I must say, I enjoy it when crowds spontaneously break into the chant, and I have greatly enjoyed the Buckeye nation, as a whole. But all that said, I am still very much an outsider on the entire culture, with no real historical base.
Enter Mark Kunz. Someone who was born in raised in Ohio and bleeds scarlet and gray, and whom I am grateful to have as our Buckeye Insider host. You won't find more passionate and relevent coverage of the Bucks anywhere, then what you find each night in our Buckeye Beat segment, and then on Saturdays in our Buckeye Insider show. Mark does a great job staying in front of the issues and storylines, and bringing you interviews each and every night that we're on. And Mike Miller also adds a tremendous amount to the show, with all of his Buckeye history and love.
I'm very thankful to have these guys guiding our great OSU coverage, and you know that each night you tune in, there will be the very latest as to whats happening down in Columbus, around the Horseshoe. |
