Pre-season USA Today (coaches) poll out today and to no surprise, OSU is in the top 5, Georgia is number 1, followed by USC, OSU, Oklahoma and Florida. Trojans and Buckeyes each received 14 1st place votes. So, let the hype begin, September 13, LA Coliseum, #2 vs #3. Oh wait, the hype started long ago. Trojans are one of 5 ranked teams on the OSU schedule.
Somewhat surprisingly, 5 Big Ten teams are in the Top 25—

12. Wisconsin
19. Illinois
22. Penn St.
24. Michigan
Yes, the Wolverines, despite losing their top 2 quarterbacks (Chad Henne and Ryan Mallette), all-time leading rusher (Michael Hart) and their top 2 receivers (Mario Manningham and Adrian Arrington) from last year are still ranked. Apparently the coaches either have a lot of faith in the Wolverine tradition or Rich Rodriguez’s skill.
